5 point check for used mobile phones sellers

5 Point Check; Sell of used Mobile Phones

Once in a while you realize that the alteration of your current smartphone is out, perhaps you were holding on a bit because the launch price for the Samsung galaxy s9 or iPhone x is a little steep for you, after a while the prices decrease by say 15% or even better you can see some used offers that if you stretch your budget upward you may grab one for yourself. Now if you are a parent or older brother or sister chances are that you may 'souvenir' your child or younger sibling. For others selling the iPhone 7 plus or Samsung S8 to trade up for the iPhone x or S9 may seem sensible, if you are the later then this is for you, this is important to avoid being conned and also for your personal positive reviews.

Lets say you have found a buyer and you want to arrange on the meetup, below are some of the points you should take into consideration;

1. Meet-up location like the buyers case select a neutral location, malls are perfect, eat up places are great, avoid downtown if you are in a city, if a buyer can come to your location even better.

2.Negotiate a price and avoid buyers who do not haggle, this is a very good signal for a possible con person.

3.Avoid selling faulty devices and if you are doing so make sure that the buyer is aware of the faulty part otherwise you may not close the deal or you will create negative buyer reviews considering online business has picked up, charge your device well to enable the buyer to test the item when you meet up, and ensure your simcard is inserted and in use.

4 Avoid meeting up late in the evening, this is usually common sense, if your buyer insists you do business past 7 pm and you have to go to where they are you should reschedule. The case can be different if they are coming to your location i.e. close to where you reside.

5. Payment method can be tricky especially when you are dealing with strangers, some people may pay you through fake currency so you need to know how to spot fake currency, I personally have witnessed this, some pay you through mobile money transfer only to reverse the transaction after you part ways, you may think of transferring the cash to m-shwari, KCB Mpesa or your bank if mobile money ta=transfer is supported not all banks offer the service. So be careful bring a friend if possible.

I had planned to write a follow up when views on my buyers 5 point reached 55 but i just had to share. That's all, you can add more on the comments because we need to share our knowledge not everyone should learn
through experience.

Second hand phones in Kenya 5 point check, when purchasing

Second Hand Phone Purchase. Mobile phones are being manufactured year in year out, and consumers have a lot of options, the pressure to keep up with current trends may be overwhelming. In developed countries not only do consumers get comparatively better wages but Telcom companies have plans where one can purchase a mobile phone and make monthly payments and the overall cost remans considerably lower an example is T-Mobile, AT&T in both US and UK, the case is different in developing countries where average wage is miniscule. The average hourly wage in UK or the US is about $9 for a low skilled work opportunity compare this to a country such as Kenya where a skilled labourer earns about $1.5. The second hand market in Kenya is booming and especially in the mobile phone consumption, although not organised or regulated, its onset has been greatly maximised through the development of online buy and sell platforms, as well as social media that link sellers with buyers. Development of on...
