iPhone 11 pro in 2023-Still worth it

The iPhone 11 Pro is Apple's flagship smartphone first seen in stores as at September 2019, in 2023 this is still an amazing device for those looking for a premium experience. Here are some of its highlight  features:

Design: The iPhone 11 Pro comes in a sleek and premium design with a matte glass back and a stainless steel frame in silver, space gray, gold and midnight green. It has a 5.8-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a resolution of 1125 x 2436 pixels, which offers a great viewing experience.

Performance: The iPhone 11 Pro spots Apple's A13 Bionic chip, which is one of the fastest mobile processors available. It also has 4GB of RAM, which ensures smooth performance in gaming and daily phone use especially in running multiple apps simultaneously.

Camera: The iPhone 11 Pro has a triple-camera setup on the back, which includes a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 12-megapixel wide lens, and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. The camera is great for low-light situations and produces nice looking photos and videos.

Battery life: The battery life on the iPhone 11 Pro is impressive, reported to be 18 hours of talk time and up to 65 hours of audio playback.but real life usage is about 10 to 12 hours on a full charge. It also supports fast charging and wireless charging.

Other features: The iPhone 11 Pro has Face ID for secure and easy unlocking, and it is water and dust-resistant with an IP68 rating.

Bottom line, the iPhone 11 Pro is a premium smartphone that delivers great performance, a stunning display, and excellent camera capabilities. Its battery life is also impressive, making it a great choice for those who need a reliable device that lasts all day. Although the is over three years since first release, the phone will still get software updates from Apple now up-gradable to ios 16,3 and will probably get the ios 17 update.

The down-sides are not entirely so but still may turn off some consumers, this includes: No up gradable storage, you have to plan on your storage requirements before purchasing and get the right fit for you. Lack of 3.5 mm audio jack port, this may be a deal breaker to some but not to all. The notch, Later models spot a slightly smaller notch, a deal breaker to some but not all.

Compared to the iPhone 12 pro the iPhone 11 pro has a slightly smaller display at 5.8 inc as compared to the iPhone 12 pro and also weighs marginally lighter, and unless you pay close attention you may not notice the difference. Sources have demonstrated that the A14 bionic cpu that comes with the iPhone 12 pro performs noticably better than the A13 chip in the iPhone 11 pro, with raw cpu perfomance of about twelve percent better with the 14 bionic chip and a bout eight percent better in terms of gaming, a result that is expected considering that the a14 is the newer source (https://nanoreview.net/en/soc-compare/apple-a14-bionic-vs-apple-a13-bionic)

Current prices for the iPhone 11 pro range from $360- $600 this depends on the condition and storage size that you select and whether this is a new mobile phone or used with brand new costing the most, the iPhone 12 pro prices ranges from $500- $900 and the same applies (source ebay and amazon)

Second hand phones in Kenya 5 point check, when purchasing

Second Hand Phone Purchase. Mobile phones are being manufactured year in year out, and consumers have a lot of options, the pressure to keep up with current trends may be overwhelming. In developed countries not only do consumers get comparatively better wages but Telcom companies have plans where one can purchase a mobile phone and make monthly payments and the overall cost remans considerably lower an example is T-Mobile, AT&T in both US and UK, the case is different in developing countries where average wage is miniscule. The average hourly wage in UK or the US is about $9 for a low skilled work opportunity compare this to a country such as Kenya where a skilled labourer earns about $1.5. The second hand market in Kenya is booming and especially in the mobile phone consumption, although not organised or regulated, its onset has been greatly maximised through the development of online buy and sell platforms, as well as social media that link sellers with buyers.
