IPhone 6s in 2018

iPhone 6S In 2018

The iPhone 6s is a mobile phone model manufactured by Apple Inc.  and first released in September 2015. It ships with a 4.7-inch Retina display, an A9 chip with 64-bit architecture, a 12-megapixel iSight camera, and Touch ID for secure authentication. It runs on iOS, Apple's mobile operating system, and is available in a range of storage capacities, including 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. The iPhone 6s was succeeded by the iPhone 7 in 2016, but it remains a popular device for those who prefer smaller screens or are looking for an affordable iPhone option.

For the last one months I have had an iPhone 6s as my daily driver, a while back I made a review on the iPhone 6 in 2018. I did not get the feedback I had anticipated, but I think the article gave those that wanted to try on an affordable large screen iPhone or average screen a try. am going to list some points that you may consider if you are on a budget and want to get yourself an iPhone experience.

Design and Specs- The iPhone 6s is visually identical to the iPhone 6 and in most cases the only differentiation is the s on the back and lack of imei engraving on the back, however the internals are  night and day in comparison to the latter model.
.
The 6s spots an updated 12-megapixel main camera with a 5-megapixel front camera. The processor performance  is increased by about 40% in comparison to the iPhone 6, and the ram increased to 2 GB. If you are a 3.5mm jack fan this is the last iPhone model that features that. on ios 11.4 you can do a lot with the camera, photos are clear and you can zoom in without losing much detail, you also have live photos which I found interesting.

One major let down is the battery, the iPhone 6s battery is shrunk in capacity to 1715mah down from 1810mah on the iPhone 6, though apple claims the A9 chip increases efficiency in battery consumption, my experience was less than impressive, having to carry a charger with me at all times though the max capacity was at 90%, and this could have played a major role with the poor battery.

The new fingerprint sensor is much faster and you almost never notice that a scan ha took place. The A9 chip incorporates lift to wake which takes a heavy toll on battery, and the 4.7-inch screen include 3d touch whereby applying a firm press on app icons gives you some highlights before accessing the application. If I were to pick between an iPhone 6s or 7, 6s is a winner.

To conclude the iPhone 6s is still a good choice smartphone in 2018 considering you can pick one for less than $300 on online buy and sell sites, although there is almost more than enough alternative on the android market, but then again an ios experience can only be acquired through an iPhone.
