The PlayStation 4 (PS4) is a home video game console developed and produced by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was first seen on shelves in November 15, 2013, as the successor to the PlayStation 3, which had been in the market since early 2007. The PS4 features improved hardware specifications and a more streamlined user interface compared to its predecessor, some of its competition included the Xbox One and Nintendo WII U.

The PS4 is powered by an AMD "Jaguar" octa-core processor and an AMD Radeon GPU, which together deliver improved graphics and processing power compared to the PS3. It comes with a wireless controller called the DualShock 4, which features a touchpad and a built-in speaker, as well as motion sensing capabilities in addition to rechargeable batteries which stock controller comes with.
